An early red plum type that often ripens all its 2½–3 oz fruits before frost. “The perfect canning tomatoes for a short season huge late blight pressure area. Can survive early fall frosts with protection. This variety is reportedly the heirloom used by Heinz to make ketchup prior to the advent of modern hybrid varieties.
Our seed originated from tomato plants grown from Heinz 2653 seed and there is no affiliation or association with Kraft Heinz Food Company.
