PASTURE RAISED POULTRY

2019-10-26_14-25-33_808_edited.jpg

O'Keefe Family Farm sustainable pasture raised poultry is raised on the fresh pastures of our farm in the Waldo Hills region of Oregon in historic Shaw, north of Aumsville and East of Oregon's capital Salem. In addition to pasture our poultry is fed a no-corn, no-soy, non-gmo diet raised by our friends at Whole Mosaic Farms in Philomath, OR.

Between our pasture and high-quality local feed many customers will testify that this is the best tasting poultry they have ever had! We obsess about sustainability and quality in every aspect of our poultry operation to bring you the healthiest, most nutritious, and most sustainable chicken and turkey that money can buy.

Check out online inventory of existing frozen poultry here.

FARMING PRACTICES

At O'Keefe Family Farm we believe that the healthiest, most nutrient-dense food comes from the healthiest animals and land. We know the healthiest animals grow outside on healthy pastures with a polyculture of forages, on soils that are thriving and teaming with life below our feet. We understand our soil to be full of life. The aim of O'Keefe Family Farm is to implement farming practices that protect, care for and add to our soils. Join us in making the land better while feeding yourself delicious, healthy food!

Our farm is guided by Permaculture Principles. Farm co-founder Andrew O'Keefe received his Permaculture Design Certification in 2009 from permaculture legend Toby Hemmingway. Toby used to describe Permaculture as the system of practices to allow humans to permanently occupy our planet. In light of the numerous environmental and social challenges we face today, that means designing regenerative systems that help to heal our land, the planet, people, and society. Let us hope this food we share can be a small contributor to a future of healing and regeneration.
